I’m Aaron Mathis, and I created Pilot Pulse Consulting to help pilots at all stages of their journey navigate the aviation industry with clarity and confidence. I’ve spent over a decade in this field—from learning to fly at a small Part 61 flight school to becoming a First Officer on the Boeing 767 and 757 for a major U.S. airline.

My aviation story started like many others—earning my private pilot certificate at a local flight school before enrolling in a collegiate flight program to complete my ratings and degree. From there, I worked as a flight instructor, building hours and mentoring students who were chasing the same dream I was.

I’ve since flown thousands of hours at both regional and major airlines, served as a Line Check Pilot, and taken on leadership roles as a recruiter, Aviate mentor, and pilot interviewer. I’ve had a front-row seat to the hiring process and understand what airlines are looking for—not just in logbooks, but in mindset and professionalism.

I started this consulting service because I believe there’s a real need for practical, honest guidance in our industry.
